Tombstone of Andrzej Wejchert

Andrzej Wejchert was born in 1937 and died on 12 May 2009 in Killiney, near Dublin. After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology, he joined the Office of Urban Design in Warsaw. In 1964 he won an international competition to design the University College Dublin (UCD) campus, which launched his career in Ireland. After working for Robinson, Keefe & Devane, Associates for several years, in 1974 he and Danuta established their own office - "Andrzej & Danuta Wejchert Architects", which later became "Andrzej & Danuta Wejchert & Partners Architects". He was a member of many professional organisations, including the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (RIAI) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

Danuta Wejchert was born on 23 March 1938 in Lviv and died on 7 May 2014 in Ireland. She graduated in architecture from the Warsaw University of Technology (diploma in 1962. She worked initially at the Health Services Design Office in Warsaw and then continued her career in Paris at Agence Auffret. With her husband, she founded their joint architectural office - and was co-owner.
