Burial site originally marked by a statue of St Francis on a two-stage plinth and single-stage base. The statue now lost, lies beside it on its own base. St Francis in monastic garb, with deep-cut folds. Cross in left hand, right hand on left hand, bare feet. First step of plinth with chamfered top and side edges. Second step of plinth rectangular, with moulded upper edges with hipped roof. On the front a panel with quarter-circle chamfered corners, in which is an engraved inscription.
