Cemetery in Kowalówka (II)

Burial place marked by cross on plinth. Chamfered cross, with arms ending in cusps, on plinth. At the intersection of the arms a relief carved figure of Christ, above a titulus. The plinth is covered with wider, moulded panels decorated with engraved floral ornaments. On the front a panel enclosed by a flattened solid arch with an engraved inscription.

Inwentaryzacja cmentarzy dawnego powiatu buczackiego wykonana została w latach 2005-2007 przez zespół z Instytutu Historii Sztuki Uniwersytetu Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie pod kierunkiem dr Anny Sylwii Czyż i dr. Bartłomieja Gutowskiego. Materiał opracowany został w formie kart ewidencyjnych obiektów zabytkowych i opublikowany w książce "Cmentarze dawnego powiatu buczackiego", pod red. A. S. Czyż i B. Gutowskiego, Warszawa 2017 roku. Dokumentacja obejmuje wszystkie nagrobki związane z polskim dziedzictwem kulturowym (przede wszystkim rozstrzygający jest napis w języku polskim) powstałe przed 1945 rokiem. Karty inwentaryzacyjne przechowywane są w Warszawie przez Archiwum Akt Nowych (zespół dokumentów Stowarzyszenia „Wspólnota Polska”) oraz Departament Dziedzictwa Kulturowego Ministerstwa Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego.
