Tombstone of Ignacy Furmaniuk

Zbaraż | Ukraine

Burial place marked by a statue of St Ignatius on a two-stage plinth and two-stage base, with a grave slab added to the front. The statue has been lost and lies beside it. St Ignatius depicted in counterpoint, holding a cross in his right hand and a book in his left. First step of plinth with chamfered top edges. The second step of the plinth covered by a wider moulded panel. On the front side an engraved inscription.

Inwentaryzacja cmentarzy dawnego powiatu zbaraskiego rozpoczęta została w roku 2019 przez zespół z Instytutu Historii Sztuki Uniwersytetu Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie pod kierunkiem prof. Anny Sylwii Czyż i dr. Bartłomieja Gutowskiego. Ze względu na pandemię COViD, a następnie działania wojenne prace od roku 2020 zostały wstrzymane. Materiał opracowany został w formie kart ewidencyjnych obiektów zabytkowych i w formie kart inwentaryzacyjnych w katalogu on-line - http://cmentarzetarnopolskie.uksw.edu.pl/. Dokumentacja obejmuje wszystkie nagrobki związane z polskim dziedzictwem kulturowym (przede wszystkim rozstrzygający jest napis w języku polskim) powstałe przed 1945 rokiem.
