Gravestone of Marcela Mułyk

Dźwinogród | Ukraine

Burial place marked by a gravestone, at the head of which is a cross on a two-stepped plinth and base. Cross with arms ending in a carved gabled arch, on a plinth. Through the arms of the cross a convex carved ribbon with a knot to the right, above a titulus. The first step of the plinth with moulded upper edges. Engraved inscription to the front. The second step of the plinth tapering upwards, with a very low rectangular uplift framed by small pyramids. On the front a blank space left by a photograph, below it a niche surmounted by an overhanging sharp arch. Inside it is a relief of the Virgin Mary. She is wearing a gown, cloak and veil, her hands folded in a prayer gesture, with a rosary slung over her right shoulder.
