Gravestone of Marcin Deren

Burial site originally marked by a statue of St Martin on a two-tier plinth and two-tier base. The statue has been lost, lying beside it on its own base. The figure is dressed in Roman armour (period of early migration of peoples), wielding a sword in his right hand and holding up the halves of a long military cloak with his left. On his head is a legionary helmet. By his left leg a figure shown in fragment, with folded hands in a prayer gesture. The first step of the plinth with chamfered upper edges. The second step of the plinth is moulded into a hipped canopy. On the sides there are shallow niches with chamfered quarter-circle corners, in which a relief of St. Lawrence, on the right St. John of Nepomuk. On the back a similarly carved frame. On the front a panel with an engraved inscription.
