Tombstone of Maria and Mikolaj Mielnik

Soborne | Ukraine

Burial site marked by a cross on its own plinth, two-stepped plinth and three-stepped base. Cross with arms ending in gabled caps. At the intersection of the arms a figure of the crucified Christ, with a titulus hanging above. To the right of the cross a figure of St Peter with a key in his left hand, to the left a figure of the Virgin Mary with her hands folded over her breast. First step of pedestal with engraved inscription to the front framed in an engraved frame with quarter-scrolls at the corners. The second step of the pedestal profiled at the bottom, capped at the top by a beam with acroterions at the corners and a pediment. On the front an oval hollow panel with a bas-relief figure of a woman in antique robes. She holds an open book in her left hand and points to it with her right.

Anny Sylwii Czyż i dr. Bartłomieja Gutowskiego. Materiał opracowany został w formie kart ewidencyjnych obiektów zabytkowych i opublikowany w książce "Cmentarze dawnego powiatu tarnopolskiego", t. 1 i 2, pod red. A. S. Czyż i B. Gutowskiego, Warszawa 2017-2019 roku. Karty inwentaryzacyjne opublikowane zostały w katalogu on-line - http://cmentarzetarnopolskie.uksw.edu.pl/. Dokumentacja obejmuje wszystkie nagrobki związane z polskim dziedzictwem kulturowym (przede wszystkim rozstrzygający jest napis w języku polskim) powstałe przed 1945 rokiem.
