Tombstone of the Czermak family

Karviná | Czech Republic

Burial site marked by four-part stele on base and plinth with jardiniere to front, in band. On the band, low fence walls with corner posts slightly higher than these. The top of the front posts have shallow recesses for plants. The quadrilateral stele with the engraved inscription is flanked on both sides by lower posts on plinths, tapering upwards. On these and the stele rests the finial in the form of a quadrangular panel ending in a segmental arch. In it at the front, set in a panel of the same shape, is a slab of white marble with a relief of Christ's head in a crown of thorns. In the lower right-hand corner of the base of the stele is the signature of the stonemason's workshop.
