Tombstone of Rozalia Romaniszyn

Kozłów | Ukraine

Burial site originally marked by a two-stage plinth and a two-stage base. First step of plinth with chamfered upper edges. Second step of plinth finished with simplified beam and covered with hipped roof. On the front a panel with engraved inscription. To the left, in a niche with chamfered quarter-circle corners, a relief of the Archangel Michael. In his left hand he holds a sword, in his right a shield with an engraved cross. He is dressed in a ruffled robe to the knees, clad in roman shorts. The robe is girdled, with a helmet on his head. Analogous panel to the right, within which is a relief figure of Mary. She holds her right hand over her heart, in her left hand she has a book. She is dressed in a long cloak and ruffled gown, with a veil on her head.
