Tombstone of Tekla Blaszkiewicz

Ihrowica | Ukraine

Burial place marked by a statue of St Tekla on a three-stage plinth and base. Statue on its own base. The saint is depicted frontally, in a slight contrapposto. She is dressed in a long-sleeved robe over which she is wearing a slightly ruffled stole. Her long hair is covered by a veil. In her right hand, bent at the elbow, she holds a cross hugged to her chest, in her left hand a palm branch. At the feet of St Tecla, to her left, rests a lion. First and second steps of the plinth with chamfered top edges. The third step of the plinth with a simplified beam consisting of an architrave and cornice, covered by a panel with moulded lower edges. On the pedestal at the front an engraved inscription.
