Tombstone of Lorenzo Gray

Kokutkowce | Ukraine

Burial place marked by a statue on its own base, a two-stepped plinth and a three-stepped base. Figure of Christ in antique robes. On the breast hung a burning heart entwined with a crown of thorns. Left hand resting near the breast, a small engraved cross marked on the back of the hand. Right hand in a gesture of blessing, a fragment of a robe slung across it. The second step of the base with an engraved border at the bottom and with chamfered upper edges. The second step of the pedestal moulded at the bottom, topped by a cornice with band and lesbian kimation. On the front, an engraved frame with quarter-scrolls at the corners, within which is an engraved inscription. Side walls of the second tier of the plinth with hollow niches, in which are figural representations. To the right, a full-figure representation of St Lawrence shown in profile with a cloak and crown on his head. To the left, a figure of a man in a habit, holding a cross at breast level with both hands.
