New grographs on the altar of Our Lady of the Dawn Gate in Lviv.

At the altar of Our Lady of the Dawn Gate in the Upper Lychakiv district of Lviv, in the church erected by Archbishop Dr Bolesław Twardowski as a votive offering for the liberation of Lviv during the turmoil of war in 1918-1920, commemorative grographs are placed as votive offerings by various social organisations and military formations. On the day of the celebration of the 24th anniversary of the defence of Lviv, during a solemn ceremony in the same church, in the presence of representatives of civil and military authorities, two new grographs were placed.

The ceremony was attended by delegations from the Association of Upper Silesian Insurgents, the regiments whose history is connected with the defence of Lviv, schoolchildren from Odrzechowa, the Podhale people, veterans and numerous veterans with their flags, numerous social organisations and repressive services. After the service, celebrated by Archbishop Twardowski, the act of placing grographs of gratitude in front of the picture of Our Lady of the Dawn Gate was performed. The first ryngraf with the image of Our Lady of the Dawn Gate, in a beautiful depiction of the emblems of the arms and the regimental badge at the bottom, was deposited by the 39th P.P., formed from the Lviv Orląt Lw:

"To the protector of the city for the eternal memory of victory". The second gold ryngraf: "To the Guardian of our city on the 20th anniversary of the reunion of Lviv with the Motherland".

- 38 p.p. Riflemen of Lviv, formed from the first Defenders of Lviv. Finally, a third gold grograph: "Queen of Martyrs on the 20th Anniversary of the Defence of Lviv". - families of the Fallen-Deceased Heroes of the 1918-1920 battles. All three ryngraphs were designed by Rudolf Mękicki and made in silver, partially gilded by Kazimierz Wojtycha. The likenesses of these guttergraphs furthermore speak of the extraordinary artistry of the making of these beautiful guttergraphs of gratitude, which, together with others, adorn the altar of Our Lady of the Dawn Gate in the votive church in Lychakiv.
