Olesko (Ukraine) - Former Capuchin Monastery

The Capuchin church and monastery in Olesko, founded in 1739 by Volyn voivode Józef Seweryn Rzewuski, used to be one of the most eminent and wealthy foundations in the Republic of Poland.

They were famous for their costly furnishings, impressive book collection and picturesque garden, which included decorative arbours and fishponds. Since the 1980s, the monastery has served as a branch of the Boris Voznytskyi Lviv National Art Gallery. It now serves as a storehouse for works of art, hiding within its walls an extremely valuable collection of sculpture and paintings from the 16th-18th centuries.

Works carried out in 2024.

Construction and renovation work was carried out, consisting of the repair of the external staircase leading up to the monastery building from the front and from the garden.
