The article takes a closer look at the history of Krzemieniec since the time of Bolesław Śmiały and the relationship of this settlement and town with Polish culture. The activity of Tadeusz Czacki, who created and organised the Krzemieniec Lyceum in Krzemieniec, is extensively mentioned.
