Organ in Solenice Malé, restoration work

The organ in Soleczniki Maly (Lithuania) was built in 1908 and is the work of organ builder Piotr Vojkovich. In 2018. Polonika Institute carried out conservation of the instrument.

The scope of work included cleaning and conservation of the wood inside the organ cabinet, chrome plating of the prospect pipes. Built into the right side of the cabinet, equipped with one manual, a playing table with seven register pulls and a foot lever, the keyboard and register traction was dismantled, then repaired or supplemented and impregnated. The pipes, which bore traces of biological and mechanical damage, underwent particularly labour-intensive treatment. Comprehensive treatments were also carried out on the wind chest, the channels and the bellows, which were connected to a new blower.

The organ renovation was of great social importance for this Polish parish.

Supervised by Bernard Termen, under the supervision of Wiktor Łyjak, Ph.
