Entry honoured in the Polonica Institute's 'Heritage Without Borders' 2024 competition.

Jerusalem is home to the Ramot Polin housing development, which literally translates as 'Polish Hills'. It was designed by an Israeli architect of Polish origin, Zvi Hecker, and built between 1972 and 1975. Hecker began his architectural education at the Mining Academy in Krakow and emigrated to Israel in 1950. Ramot Polin is distinguished by its unique architecture, made of prefabricated elements.
