Biography:

Oskar Nikolai Hansen (1922-2005), Polish architect of Finnish origin. Also a painter, sculptor, educator and interior designer. Graduate of the King Sigismund Augustus Gymnasium in Vilnius and the J. Piłsudski State Technical School in Vilnius. In 1948, he studied in Paris. From 1955 he was a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and from 1967 he was a professor there. He designed, among others, the pavilion for the international exhibition in São Paulo (1959), the Słowacki estate in Lublin (1960-1963), the western part of the Torwar estate (1964-1968), the Rakowiec estate of the WSM in Warsaw (1964), his own house in Szumin (1968), and a monument on the grave of Władysław Skoczylas.
