Biography:

Paweł Kognowicki (1871-1934) - Polish architect. Chief engineer of Baku in 1899-1901, where he was the author of the renovation of the Tagiyev Theatre (together with Jozef Goslawski). He also participated, among other things, in the planning of Yelizavetpol (now Ganja), the capital of Yelizavetpol Governorate. In 1919, with the guarantee of the Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he became a member of the commission collecting materials for that very country's participation in the Paris Peace Conference.
