Biography:

Pierre Goldman (1944-1979), born in Paris, son of Alter Mojze Goldman and Joanna Sochaczewska, Jewish political activist of extreme left-wing origin. Participant in the struggle in Venezuela, sentenced to 12 years in prison. In prison he wrote an autobiography entitled. "Souvenirs obscurs d'un juif polonais né en France" (1975, 2nd ed. Paris 2005). He was murdered in the street in 1979 and his funeral was attended by several thousand people. Two documentaries have been dedicated to him, two songs have been written and the bibliography of works includes more than a dozen items.
