Biography:

Piotr Mleczko (1919-1995), painter. During the Second World War he was a prisoner of a German camp, which had a strong influence on the subject matter of his works. After the war he settled in the United Kingdom, where he studied at Sir John Cass School (1950-1954). He was a member of the Association of Polish Artists in Britain and the Lewes & District Visual Arts Association. He has exhibited at Grabowski Gallery (1961, 1963), Lewes Gallery and POSK Gallery (1989), among others. A retrospective of his work was held at the Polish Cultural Institute in 1997.
