We would like to invite you to a meeting devoted to Agata Dworzak's book "The Polejowskis. Karta z dziejów lwowskiego środowiska artystycznego w drugiej połowie XVIII wieku", published by the Polonika Institute in cooperation with the Scientific Society "Societas Vistulana".

The author has comprehensively reconstructed the artistic biographies of the Polejowski brothers against the backdrop of Lviv's sculptural milieu, exposing their significance for the formation of the sculpture of the eastern lands of the Republic of the eighteenth century. At the same time, focusing on one family, she meticulously depicted the socio-artistic phenomena and mechanisms shaping the everyday life of artists, workshop production and art in eighteenth-century Lviv.

During the meeting, we discuss research methods and ideal ways to search for old, historical information. We present the most interesting figures and projects that were created by the Polejowski family. We will also explain how they stand out from the works created in Lviv at the time.
