Polish War Cemetery in Bologna

On the outskirts of Bologna is the largest Polish war cemetery in Italy, where 1,432 soldiers of the 2nd Polish Corps are buried. The necropolis was created on the initiative of the corps commander, Władysław Anders. The project of the cemetery was prepared by Zygmunt Majerski, and its construction lasted from 1 July to 15 December 1946.
