In the small village of Brzuchowice, near Lviv, there is a monument to John Paul II. The sculpture can be found by the St. Archbishop Józef Bilczewski Theological Institute of the Lviv Archdiocese. The monument was unveiled on 27 October 2007. Nearby is also the Papal Oak, planted in June 2006. Papal Oak planted in June 2006. The statue of Saint John Paul II is located on a high pedestal. In front of the figure of the Pope is an inscription with the title of his encyclical, Totus Tuus. The statue commemorates the Pope's visit to Ukraine, which took place on 26 June 2001.
