At the gate to the former Polish settlement in Bwana M'Kubwa is a monument to the White Eagle. On the side of the monument there is a plaque with an inscription in Polish: "Polish Exiles of the Great World War Years 1939-1945 in Passage Towards a Free Homeland Bwana M'Kubwa - N. Rhodesia".
