Monument to those killed in World War I in Karviná

Informacja o obiekcie:

In Karviná, there is a memorial to the fallen of the First World War. The monument is set on a two-stepped plinth and consists of four columns supporting a platform on which a sculpture is placed. The work depicts a symbolic scene involving a female angel and two soldiers - one turning his head towards the sky in a mournful gesture and the other lying dead at the base of the composition. On the front of the platform are inscriptions in three languages: Czech, Polish and German. In recent years, the memorial has been renovated; at that time, plaques with the names of the fallen were added.
