Memorial to the dead Poles in Tashkent

In Tashkent there is a monument dedicated to the memory of Poles, soldiers of the Polish Army in the East, civilians, former prisoners of war and prisoners of Soviet gulags who died on Uzbek soil in 1942. The monument is made of light-coloured stone and has the form of a rectangular column. At the top is a bas-relief depicting a Polish crowned eagle, and below is an inscription dedicated to the commemoration of those who perished.
