On 5 July 2024, a bust of the Polish astronomer was unveiled on one of the buildings at Copernicusplein (Copernicus Square) in The Hague.

The bust was first placed there in 1908, but disappeared from the square in the 1960s. After it was found and restored, it returned to its place.
