Information about the object:
The selected area of the polychrome - approximately 60 m - is located in the former church of the Poor Clares Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, now in the use of the Boris Voznytskyi Lviv Art Gallery. The author of the polychrome is Stanislaw Stroinski.

Completed works:
The task of the Society for the Support of Research and Conservation Initiatives was to carry out the necessary conservation and technical intervention works of an interventional nature combined with the identification of the polychromes by Stroiński at the Poor Clares Church in Lviv.

The aim of the work was to uncover and then remove the repaintings (attempts at removal) made by Antoni Popiel around 1898, above all to secure and improve the object's state of preservation, as well as to produce documentation of the work to enable future refinement of the programme of conservation work.
