Cemeteries with Polish gravestone monuments, mainly descendants of Polish exiles from 1936,

Completed works:
The task was a continuation of the 2019 project and was carried out in the period 13-23 July 2022. It involved 15 volunteers (youth and adults).

Prior to the trip, the volunteers were trained in restoration, conservation and care of historical monuments. During their 10-day stay in Kazakhstan, they worked in 3 cemeteries located in Oziornoye, Chkalov and Yasnaya Polyana. They cleaned the cemeteries, wrote down tombstone inscriptions and documented their activities (photographic documentation of the Polish graves found). The work of the volunteers was supervised by experienced caretakers, who have been supervising the work in the borderland cemeteries for 6-8 years. A Polish language school was also conducted.
