Information about the object:
After 1832, as part of the repressions following the November Uprising, all Catholic churches in Krzemieniec were handed over to the Orthodox Church by decision of the Tsar. This also applied to St Anthony's parish church together with the Franciscan monastery. However, the faithful, deprived of their temples, started to seek permission to build a new Roman Catholic parish church. Thanks to the funds raised by them and the determination of the parish priest, Father Jozef Szczepanowski, in the years 1853-1857, a church under the patronage of the Lutsk diocese, St Stanislaus the Bishop and Martyr, was built in Krzemieniec. Tsar Alexander II also made a donation towards the construction. In unexplained circumstances, the foundation plaque with the inscription stating that the temple was built in 1857 thanks to the contributions of the faithful and the donation of Alexander II was lost. The plaque also bore the name of the church's architect, builder Jozef Aleksander Krafft (1814 - circa 1875), who settled in Krzemieniec in 1850 and was the architect of, among others, the Volhynian landowner residences in Stadniki and Wołoskie.

The temple was built of brick and plastered. The modest façade was flanked by two towers, whose upper storeys, in the form of simplified aediculae with a window in the middle, are crowned by massive spheres with crosses. Until recently, a wooden bell tower stood in the church square, which was dismantled in 1998. The interior of the church has three naves. The polychrome paintings were made in 1908. The Czech stained-glass windows date from the same period. In the main altar is a copy of the Sistine Madonna painted by local artist Arkadiusz Hicke, a graduate of the Krzemieniec Lyceum. A particularly valuable memento is the statue of Juliusz Słowacki, by Wacław Szymanowski, erected in the church on the centenary of the poet's birth.

The organ in Krzemieniec is the only historic Polish instrument preserved in historic Volhynia, as the others were destroyed during the Soviet occupation or after the Second World War. The instrument confirms the presence of Polish artistic, craftsmanship and musical culture in the former Krzemieniec in the 19th century.

Completed works:

2020
In the parish church of St Stanislaus the Bishop and Martyr in Krzemieniec, Ukraine, 2020 emergency conservation work was carried out on the organ instrument, the organ cabinet and the floor in the music choir.

Conservation work was completed on the prospect and the cabinet, which was prepared for the installation of the instrument's preserved mechanisms. The floor of the music choir gallery and the architectural balustrade were repaired and conserved. As a result of the work carried out in 2020, the appearance of the church from 1908 was restored, when the interior of the church was redecorated with a new polychrome painting and the main altar with pulpit.

2021
The aim of the project was to complete the conservation of the musical instrument manufactured in 1886 by the Florian Ostromęcki company of Vilnius, which is located in the parish church of St Stanislaus. The work was of a rescue nature.
