Information about the facility:
The oldest part of the church in Stara Sol is St Anne's Chapel, founded by Casimir the Great, presumably built at the end of the 14th century at the Basilian monastery, rebuilt in 1613. The nave added to it, originally wooden, was burnt down by Cossacks in 1648 and rebuilt in 1660. Traces of shelling and an artillery shell lodged in its north wall date from this time. Between 1922 and 1930, the church was rebuilt and extended according to a design by Bronisław Wiktor. Reinforced concrete vaults were installed over the nave and presbytery, and a porch and the Holy Trinity Chapel were added. The characteristic sculptural decoration in the Art Deco style was created at this time, mainly focused on the façade, by Julian Mikolajski.

The temple retained its sacred function until 1963, when it was turned into a fertiliser warehouse. In the 1970s, a fire broke out in the interior; extinguishing with salt water caused chemical corrosion of the walls. In 1992 the church was returned and initially handed over to the Greek Catholics; organisationally it belongs to the parish in Chyrów. Services are held in the Holy Trinity Chapel. In 2001, Pope John Paul II consecrated a plaque to mark the restoration of the church.

Completed works:
The works concerned the execution of a construction and conservation project for the renovation of the church in Stara Sol, together with an expert opinion on the technical condition and conservation work programmes.

For the purposes of the project, the following were also carried out: archival queries, architectural research, laboratory testing of sampled bricks and plaster, and moisture and salinity testing. A laser scanning inventory carried out in 2021 on behalf of the Polonica Institute was used in the design work.
