Biography:

Romuald Zerych (1888-1964), born in Warsaw, son of Gotfryd and Helena, née Perle, sculptor. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under Xawery Dunikowski. He is the author of, among others, the monument to the dead prisoners of war in Budziszyn, the monument to Eliza Orzeszkowa in Grodno, the portrait sculpture of Stanisław Noakowski, the plaque with a bas-relief of General Sowiński, and numerous tombstones in Warsaw cemeteries.
