Biography:

Róża Branicka (1780-1862), born in Tulczyn, daughter of Stanisław Szczęsny Potocki and Józefina Amalia Potocka. An artist who worked in drawing and watercolour. She married Antoni Potocki; the couple had a daughter together. They divorced in 1812. Her husband was later Władysław Grzegorz Branicki and she had seven children. After 1843, she left for France. There she purchased land, a chateau and part of a property in Montrésor for her son. There are two watercolour portraits of Branicka's brush in the National Museum in Warsaw.
