Sculpture "Hope" by Tomasz Koclęga in Daejeon

On the campus of the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Daejeon is the sculpture 'Hope' by Tomasz Koclęga. This work won a closed competition organised to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the institute's founding. In June 2024, the monumental bronze sculpture, measuring 10 metres and weighing 7 tonnes, was ceremonially unveiled in the courtyard of the institute. The ceremony was attended by the Polish ambassador.
