Stanislav Kharmansky was born in 1861 in Yekaterinoslav. He studied in St Petersburg, but returned to his hometown where he was employed as a junior engineer to later head the building department. He was the author of, among other things, the Auditorium of the National Reading Committee, as well as the extension of the local Catholic church. He died in 1917.
