Biography:

Stanisław Kazimierz Cikowski (1899-1959), born in Czarny Dunajec, son of Ferdinand and Florentyna née Suwada, doctor and footballer.

After graduating from the King Jan III Sobieski Gymnasium in Kraków, he studied medicine at the Jagiellonian University, receiving his doctorate in 1925. During his studies, he served in the Polish Army as a sanitary non-commissioned officer, and then as adjutant of the Cracow Garrison District Command.

He began his football career with Cracovia in 1912, and played for the first team from 1916. With the club, he won the Polish championship in 1921. He appeared in the first official match of the Polish national team against Hungary in 1921. In total, he played nine matches for the national team and twelve for the Krakow national team. In 1925, he ended his sporting career.

During World War II, he worked as a military doctor in Przemyśl, and after returning to Kraków, he supported footballers active in the underground movement. After the war, he was involved in Cracovia's activities, serving on the club's honorary court and jubilee committee. He also worked in the social health service and in the Department of the Presidium of the Municipal National Council.
