Stanisław Gawroński (1784-1860), born in Zieleniec, Brigadier-General. An officer in the Army of the Duchy of Warsaw from 1807, he took part in the campaigns of 1809 and 1812, and was a prisoner of war on the Berezina. From 1815, in the army of the Kingdom of Poland, he served in the lancer regiments. In the November Uprising, he was commander of a brigade, fighting at Wawer, Dęb Wielki, Mińskiem and Kałuszyn, among other places.

After 1831, an émigré in France, living at 71 rue Taitbout in Paris; an activist with émigré circles and the Union for National Unity.

Hourglass: "Jenerał Stanisław Gawroński, decorated with the Knight's Cross of Poland and the medal of St. Helena, and endowed with the Holy Sacraments, passed to eternity on 31 October this year, in the 76th year of his life. Affected by this painful loss, the former comrades-in-arms and friends of the deceased invite the Honourable Countrymen to offer him their last Christian service. The funeral will take place on 2 November, Friday, at 12 o'clock sharp, from the house at 71, Taitbout Street, to the church of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, and from there to the Père Lachaise cemetery. Paris, 31 October 1860"
