Biography:

Stanisław Kościałkowski (1881-1960), historian and lecturer. From 1935, professor at the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius. Arrested in 1941 and deported by the NKVD to a concentration camp, from where he was released in 1942. That same year, he moved to Iran. From 1945, he lived in Beirut, and in 1950 he settled in England, where he founded the Polish Scientific Society Abroad.
