Stanisław Krzyżanowski (1865-1917), born in Kęty, medieval historian, palaeographer and professor at the Jagiellonian University.

Doctor of law and history, the first in Poland habilitated in auxiliary sciences of history. From 1897, director of the Archive of Historical Records of the City of Cracow, co-founder and president of the Society of Lovers of the History and Monuments of Cracow. Author of works on diplomatics, heraldry and the history of Cracow.
