In the next instalment of the Polonica Institute's 'Oral History' interview series, we invite you to listen to a conversation with Stanisław August Morawski.

He is a figure of great merit for the Italian Polonia and the spread of Polish culture. Born in Kraków in 1922, he settled in Italy in 1957 and was one of the founders of the Union of Poles in Italy and the long-standing president of the J. S. Umiastowska Foundation in Rome.

For his services, he was awarded the Commander's Cross with Star of the Order of Polonia Restituta. Stanislaw Morawski died in Rome on 23 December 2019. He was 97 years old.
