A short documentary-educational film portrait of the eminent writer, humanist and philosopher Stanisław Vincenz against the background of his so-called "little homeland" - the Hutsul Region. Vincenz, a professor, lecturer, was a polyglot who knew 14 languages and was an exceptional erudite man, and at the same time a teacher or spiritual guide for his contemporaries.

The film presents the most important areas of Hutsul culture. It is narrated by well-known figures from the world of history, cultural studies and ethnography, as well as Ukrainians and Hutsuls from the area where Vincenz lived.
