Biography:

Sylwester Karalus (1908-1975), born in Świątniki, lawyer, politician and publicist. He studied law at Poznań University. He was a civil servant at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and also worked at the Polish Consulate in Riga and the Polish Embassy in Paris. Between 1970 and 1972, he served as Prime Minister of the Polish Government in Exile.
