A plaque commemorating St Maximilian Kolbe in the Basilica of the Holy Twelve Apostles in Rome. Kolbe spent almost seven years (1912-1919) in Rome. The Franciscan was commemorated in the Basilica of the Holy Twelve Apostles. A plaque with an inscription in Italian and a bas-relief image of the saint was placed on a pillar in the shrine in 1992.
