Biography:

Tadeusz Ralf Adamowski (1901-1994), born in Lausanne, son of Józef and Antonina Szumowska, hockey player, coach and Olympian. He studied at Harvard University, where he played sports. In Poland, he played for the AZS Warsaw club, winning five national championship titles. He appeared in 40 matches for the national team, won silver at the continental championships (1929, 1931) and was appointed to the team of Europe's best players. As a coach, he introduced modern Canadian training methods. In the September campaign he fought as a second lieutenant and was taken prisoner. After the war, he settled in New York.
