Tadeusz Andrzejczak (1915-1987), born in Częstochowa, son of Stanisław and Helena, architect. Between 1934 and 1939 he studied architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. After the outbreak of war in 1939, he was mobilised and subsequently sent to a prisoner of war camp. In 1945, he moved to the United Kingdom, where he continued his architectural studies at the School of Architecture at the Polish University in London, graduating in 1951. After graduating, he began working with the architecture department of the London County Council. In 1954, he emigrated with his family to Australia, where he completed several significant projects, including the Western Australian Institute of Technology, the Perth Astronomical Observatory and the Central Law Courts at St George's Terrace.
