Biography:

Tadeusz Fuss-Kaden (1914-1985), born in Krakow, painter. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, the Warsaw Institute of Art Propaganda and the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. He spent the Second World War in Switzerland. There he took part in the restoration of the frescoes on the vault of the chapel in Zuchwil. A year later he designed the stained glass windows for the church in Solothurn. In 1948, he moved to France. He lived in Nice, where he presented his work several times at the Union Méditerranéenne pour l'art moderne. He was awarded a gold medal in 1951 and 1952. He then settled in Paris, where he studied architecture. After completing his studies, he moved to Majorca. There he realised several houses. His works can be found in the collections of Samuel Beckett, Arthur Rubinstein, Will Grohmann and also the Musée National d'Art Moderne and the University of Massachusetts, among others. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions, most of them in France, Switzerland and the USA.
