Tadeusz Natanson (1868–1951), born in Warsaw, son of Adam Natanson, publisher and co-founder of the Paris-based journal *La Revue blanche*, which he co-edited with his brothers Aleksander (1867–1936) and Ludwik-Alfred (1873–1932). He was educated in Paris, where he came into contact with future figures of the French intelligentsia and artistic circles.

Between 1893 and 1905, he was married to Misa Godebska (later Misa Sert), one of the most prominent figures in Parisian social and artistic life at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Thanks to his publishing activities and connections, the Natanson household became one of the era’s leading artistic salons.
