Tomasz Gertner (1743-1812), born in Lviv, son of the sculptor Johann Georg Gertner and Anna N.N., painter, pupil and close associate of Stanislaw Stroinski.

In 1772, he married Anna Starzewska, daughter of the Lviv sculptor Szymon Starzewski. They had several children, including Konstancja, wife of the architect Franciszek Ksawery Kulczycki.

Gertner collaborated with Stroiński on the decoration of, among others, the parish church in Hussakov and the Franciscan church in Przemyśl.
