Viewing Tytus Brzozowski's paintings commissioned by the Polonica Institute, one can take a journey abroad in the footsteps of Polish heritage. Twelve works depict cities in various parts of the world and the places or objects in them that are material traces of Polish presence abroad. The final work is a collage of selected Polish artifacts from each of the painted cities.

Tytus Brzozowski has created thirteen works telling the story of the Polish presence abroad as part of his collaboration with the Polonics Institute. The watercolourist's distinctive style and view of urban space allowed him to combine selected objects and places in each city in an intriguing and imaginative way. The juxtaposition visible in the paintings not only reveals a surprising number of objects, but also points to historical contexts and connections between them. Few people know how many important places for the Polish community are located outside the country.
