Athens. The official naming of one of the main streets of the city after Marshal J. Piłsudski took place in Missolonghi, the holy city of Greece, as a continuation of the celebrations connected with the unveiling of the monument to Poles who died for the freedom of Greece. The mayor of Missolonghi, in the presence of the authorities and a large audience, unveiled marble plaques on the street corners with the inscription:

"Odos Stratarchou Piłsudski" (Marshal Piłsudski Street).

The Mayor gave a speech in which he emphasised the Great Marshal's contribution to Poland.
